The Dilemma

A Country and People in Abject Poverty, No Safety Net, Little Hope The S.C.O.P.E. Foundation chooses to act and create something tangible, something concrete and lasting to offer hope to the children of El Salvador. The Santa Luisa School is a school of love and care in the midst of an environment of crushing poverty where the poorest of the poor are children. The children of Santa Luisa are given a safe, nurturing environment of values and a promise of a future. These photos show the abject poverty of where these children live. No safety net. No welfare. Total poverty.

Jesus Blesses the Children
(Mark 10:13-16)

“And people were bringing children to Him that He might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this He became indignant and said to them, ‘Let the children come to Me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.’ Then He embraced them and blessed them, placing His hands on them.”
